I live over here, about twenty years now, and I'm holding one pen. The paper works when there are a lot more of them. Bring your own, whatever it is: a notebook, a phone, a typewriter somebody left you, a kid with a camera. Write about the street you're on.
New here? The avenue is West Colorado Avenue. OCC is Old Colorado City, the six blocks of it between about 24th and 27th. The Westside is everything west of I-25 to the Manitou line, the hills on both sides. One thing to show up to this week is in the next two weeks on the front page; trivia on Thursday at OCC Brewing needs no one to know you.
Here runs past the avenue: Pleasant Valley, Midland, Mesa Springs, the Mesa, the motels out past 31st, the park. I don't know them all yet. Tell me what I'm missing.
How it works: I find people who care and ask them to share it out loud. I ask others to participate too. We focus on writing about things that matter, and we get to decide what matters. So do you.
What the idea is, what we're going to try, and what we honestly don't know yet is on the kit page, free to copy if you want to start one where you live. How we do it, and what we won't do, is in the code.
