By Dec 8Recall petition, District 3. Brandy Williams is our councilwoman. Three residents filed to recall her, and the city approved the petition October 13. They need 4,350 valid signatures by December 8 for the April ballot. They say she doesn't answer residents and that she voted to dissolve the OCC development authority. She disputes it. We don't say how to vote. We'll print where the petition is and what it says.New since 2026-10-11

Apr 13, 2027Project Taurus. A 50-megawatt data center proposed at the old Intel plant, next to the homes in Chelsea Glen. The Planning Commission approved it 6 to 2 in July with a power cap and noise monitoring. Council put the appeal off 7 to 2 to April 13, a week after the city election, and wants a noise study and a study of what big power users pay first. The developer told Colorado Politics on Sept 18 it is weighing whether this is the right partnership.Still looking for: the noise study

Sept 22, 2026Old Colorado City's downtown development authority (DDA) shut down. The tax district voters created in 2024 never got its funding. Council voted 5 to 4 on Sept 22 to dissolve it, ordinance 26-48 (yes: Casey, Crow Iverson, Rainey, Risley, Williams; no: Donelson, Gold, Henjum, Leinweber), after the same 5 to 4 on first reading Aug 25. KKTV reported Oct 2 that the DDA is weighing legal action because the ordinance skipped the mayor's desk. Who picks up the avenue's end of things is an open question. The city's own page: meeting record (Open Publica)

Since Apr 2023Greater Westside Community Plan. Nine neighborhoods, one plan: Gold Hill, Ivywild, Mesa, Mesa Springs, Midland, Old Colorado City, Skyway, Stratton Meadows, Westside. (The city's plan reaches past the interstate; this paper stays west of it.) The city's page lists six meetings, the last in April 2023, plus a 2022 survey and a 'Big Ideas' summary. What came next is the question we're taking to Planning, and to the neighbors who sat in those rooms.Changed since 2026-10-11

Checked October 15. Each one links to the city's own page where we found it. Where it says "still looking," we haven't found it yet (city websites, you know how it goes). If you've got it, send it over.

Want to be the person in the room? Go to one meeting, write down what happened on this one-page sheet, and we print it. A City Council Tuesday is the easy first one; you can watch it live or later from the couch.
